You’ve prepared an amazing game room for you and the family, but you’re missing that last piece; the shuffleboard.
Finding the best shuffleboard tables is the tricky part. Between determining what size you need to what options are important, I’ve got you covered. You no longer have to wonder what's right for you.
Read my guide to find your next home shuffleboard table.
What To Look For In A Shuffleboard Table
The very first thing to consider is the size of your new table. Sizes range from nine feet all the way up to 22 feet. You’ll also need to add in a minimum of two feet on either side of the table for optimum playing space.
Another thing to keep in mind would be the space needed to move the table into your home. You might be able to accommodate the 22-foot table in your game room, but how will you get it there?
Remember, the table is going to arrive in one, long piece that might be difficult to maneuver.
It’s also important that your table itself be made of quality materials. You're going to be putting a lot of wear on your shuffleboard table, so look for a table made of solid wood to get the most life out of it.
Finally, you'll want to consider all of the options available on your table. Does it include levelers and climatic adjusters so you get the best board game possible?
What scoring system do you want? Most games come with the three-level grid, but some tables do include the triangular scoring grid, however, these are normally only used on outdoor playing surfaces.

Caring for Your Table
Once you’ve chosen your home shuffleboard table, you’ll want to care for it properly so it can last as long as possible. Keep your table away from sunlight as this can cause expansion and potentially warp your table.
When cleaning a polymer finish, simply use a damp rag and stay away from harsh chemicals. The wood can be easily cleaned with a quality wood wax.
When you’re not using your table, consider placing a cover over it so that it remains protected from spills and damage. You may even decide that a shuffleboard wax would be right for you.
